  • The following year, Chris Carrieri replaced Jeff Stewart at halftime with the Rapids trailing Chicago Fire 1-0. He remains one of just four players in league history to score a hattrick after coming on as a substitute. The Rapids won 3-2 in front of a record 61,202.
